2024 SYC fall tackle FOOTBALL INFORMATION
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- SYC Youth Tackle Football is available this Fall to anyone going into grades Kindergarten thru 7th Grade in the Fall of 2024
- PRICING
o WE ARE GETTING NEW JERSEYS – they are factored into the price below
o April - $150 (EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT - Offer Ends on April 30th)
o May 1st – June 30th - $200
o Sibling discount of $25/player will be applied at registration when all siblings are registered in the same transaction.
- PRACTICES
o Start Date – Tentative July 29, 2024 thru October 2024. Playoffs typically begin in November 2024.
o Frequency – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm. K-1st grade will be only Tuesday and Thursdays.
o Location: “The Coop” – 72 N Coop Rd New Freedom, PA 17349
- GAMES
o Historically 8-9 games a season against other teams in York County League
o Home Games played at Susky HS Football Turf Field
o Games will be played once a week starting towards the end of August on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the season
- TEAMS
o Based on age and registration goal of having “Varsity” and “JV” teams at every level to increase the amount of repetitions kids get in live games
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION AND PROGRAM FAQ’S
- What do I need to register?
o You need to upload the following documents to be “cleared” to play. They are not expected to be completed at the time of registration but need to be completed prior to picking up equipment.
1) Birth Certificate Copy
2) Physical Form – PLEASE USE ONLY THIS FORM
- Must have been completed during 2024 to be valid
- UrgentCare in Shrewsbury has historically completed these at a discounted rate
3) Proof of Residence – NOT A UTILITY BILL. Must be a copy of your child’s report card or district bus stop confirmation.
· League rules require our players to attend school in the Southern York County School District or have residence in the same school district.
· If you 1) are home schooled or attend a private school AND 2) live within the Southern York County School District – please fill out this form and upload as your proof of residence as we need to send to the League for approval
· Out of District Waiver – PLEASE USE ONLY THIS FORM
- What is provided and what do I need?
o PROVIDED TO YOU – Helmet and Chin Strap , Shoulder Pads, Game Jersey and Socks
o NEEDED BY YOU – Black Football Pants (preference to pants with pads sewn in), Cleats, and Mouthguard
- When do I get my equipment?
o We schedule times based on paperwork being completed in mid-July
