SYC Youth Field Hockey

Goal: Our goal is to bring a youth field hockey program to our community where we can introduce the sport, basic skills and game knowledge to prepare our youth for higher levels of play in the future. We hope to build a fun and competitive team environment where kids can practice and learn the foundational skills of field hockey and grow in their knowledge and love of the game.

2026 Field Hockey Summer Mini Camp

Description:

Learn or brush up on basic field hockey skills, play games, build friendships and get active! All levels of experience are welcome! This camp will provide an introduction to Field Hockey for players that are new to the game to build basic skills and game knowledge and for players that are more experienced to improve their skills as well as learn new ones. The camp coaches will be SYC/local coaches and SHS Junior High and JV/Varsity players. Note: There will be a maximum of 10-12 campers per coach.

The 2026 SYC Warrior Field Hockey Mini Camp is a 4 day morning camp from June 1st- June 4th.

Tentative Daily Schedule:

8:45 - 9:00 Check In

9:00-9:50 Session 1 (Warm Up / Stretch/ Stick Skills)

9:50- 10 Water Break/Bathroom Break/Snack

10-10:50 Session 2 (Stations /Drills)

11-11:30 (Small Games/Scrimmages)

11:30- Pickup

Age Range:

Open to girls and boys who will be in the grade level K-6th grade as of Fall 2026

Cost: $100

Location: SHS Field Hockey Front Grass Field & Turf 3280 Fissels Church Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327

What's Included:

Tshirt or Reversible Pinnie

2 Field Hockey training sessions per day

Scrimmages / Games / Field Hockey Swag/FUN!

What to Bring:

Field Hockey Stick (size should be about hip height)

Mouth Guard (molded)

Shin Guards

Goggles (Optional but highly recommended)

Sneakers and/or Cleats

LARGE Water Bottle

Sunscreen & Sunglasses

2026 Indoor Field Hockey-Stick Skills (February)

Description:

The Winter Field Hockey program will focus primarily on stick skills (ball handling, dribbling, dodging, etc.). We have indoor field hockey sticks available if needed. Sundays in February.

$40 Grades K-6th

Mouth Guard (molded)

Reversible Shin Guards (white/black or white and black socks/shin guard covers to be worn over shin guards)
