2025-2026 Warrior Youth Basketball

SYC Warrior Youth Basketball registration will be open from 9/1/2025 through 9/30/2025.

Challenger (Special Needs League) Coed Basketball

$35 Registration Fee. No evaluations. Ages 4-18. The season will be January and February for 8 sessions. Sundays early to mid-afternoons.

Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade Coed Instructional Basketball:

$75 Registration Fee. No evaluations. The season will be January and February for 8 sessions. Saturday mornings for an hour per session. This is a clinic-style program, like a basketball camp, to teach the players basketball fundamentals while having a ton of fun!

Rec & Travel Boys and Girls:

New process this year: All Boys and Girls will sign up for "Rec & Travel Basketball" division at $150.

Rec Evaluations and Travel Tryouts will be combined in mid-October following the schedule outlined below.
After these conclude, both Travel and Rec teams will be formed.
Travel participants/parents will be no additional cost.
Rec participants/parents will receive a $50 registration refund once teams are formed in the end of October timeframe.

The player/participant must be registered at www.sycwarriors.org prior to attending evaluation/tryouts.

SYC Warrior Youth Basketball Season Information:

For Travel Basketball,

The participant must reside in the Southern York County School District to be eligible.
Practices start in early November
Games will be from December through February with locations in York/Adams county. Farthest distance for an away game is about 50 min (Littlestown), however most schools are around a 30 min drive approximately. E.g. South Western, South Eastern, Dover, Eastern York, United Parish, Columbia, and Hanover. Games will be on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Sunday games are home games at Susquehannock HS or Southern Middle School. Away games on Saturdays.
We are encouraging players to tryout for our travel program, especially those in 5th and 6th grade who may be interested in playing middle school basketball for Southern Middle School.

There will be a Travel A and Travel B team for both boys and girls depending on participation numbers.

For Rec basketball:

Practices begin early November through early March.
There will be 8 regular season games that will start in January and continue into February.
End of season tournament in late February or early March. South Eastern Youth Basketball program will be hosting the tournament this year.

Travel Boys 7th-8th Grade:

The 7-8th grade Travel division will be comprised of a Travel A team & possibly a Travel B team. Registration for Travel Basketball will open directly after the Middle School basketball team tryouts have taken place and registration will be open for one week. The middle school basketball tryouts are typically in the mid-November timeframe and are managed by the SYCSD Southern Middle School coach(es).

The $150 Travel Basketball Registration fee is to be paid in full at the time of registration. Practices will begin a week or two after registration closes. If you have a player who will not be trying out for the Middle school basketball team but is interested in trying out for a SYC Travel team, please contact us at [email protected] prior to the Middle School Tryout so we are aware.
