2018 SYC Fall Girls Softball

Fall Girls Softball Registration age groups are the same as they were this spring and summer.  It is encouraged they play at that level, although that is completely up to you and can be based on your girl’s ability.  So if she needs more development in the age group she participated this spring, feel free to register her with a same age group.  If your daughter is maxed out and you want to move her up one age group, then feel free.

10U Fall Ball (Cannot turn 11 before 1/1/19)

The $85 fee includes 6 double headers to be played on weekends, a T-shirt provided for the uniform.  Practices will start approximately mid-August.  Games will start around 9/8/18 and are expected to end no later than 10/31/18.

SYC Warriors will be having open tryouts for all girls in York county and Northern MD for the following age groups. 10U, 12U, 14U, 18U

No fee to register but must register on website. The Tryouts will be Saturday 8/4/18 (Rain Date of 8/5/18) and 8/11/18 (Rain Date of 8/12/18). Times for each age group will be provided by 7/7/18.

2019 SYC Football Season

Divisions - Age by August 31, 2019

Smurf - 6 & first year 7 year old 
Rink - 7 & 8 year old 
Pony - 9 & 10 year old
Midget - 11 & 12 year old  

SYC Football is an instructional league that is for boys 6-12 years old as of August 31, 2019.  Boys who turn 13 years of age as of  August 31, 2019 are not longer eligible to play in the YCYFA league.

Players must reside in the Southern York County area in order to play for SYC Football. We are members of York County Youth Football Association. It is our goal as a program to have fun developing fundamental football skills, encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development.

Informational Meeting: Parents Only!

Thursday, May 2nd at 8pm (7:30pm - All incoming 7th graders! This will be an open conversation about the difference between SYC Youth Football and Middle School Football)
Meet your Child's Head Coach, Current Board Members and Ask any questions that you might have. 
We will meet at Veterans Field (The Coop) in the Boy Scout Building 
We can not wait to meet your football player; however, this meeting is for parents only! 

Equipment Handout:  

1.      Equipment Handout @ Veterans Field (The Coop):    
   a.      Saturday, July 13th from 8-11 AM    
   b.      Saturday, July 20st from 8-11 AM

2.      Included: helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, and practice jersey
   a.      Parents will need to purchase black padded pants and black socks - These pants  can be worn for practice as well as games. 
   b.      Players to provide football cleats, protective cup, and mouth piece.   

Game Day Jersey:

1.    Every player will need to purchase a new game day jersey. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to purchase our jerseys from previous years. We know that this is an added expense for our returning players and we apologize. In an effort for this to not happen again, we are designing a custom made jersey for our program. This custom made jersey will allow our boys to proudly display their name on the back of their jersey.
2.   Game Day Jersey will be purchased and paid for through SYC Football registration: Cost $40 total
3.   Each player will wear black padded pants and black socks. Parents will be responsible for purchasing the padded black pants and black socks for their child. WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING PADDED PANTS THIS YEAR! However, we do have some gently used padded pants that have been donated and will be available at Equipment Pickup - first come first serve. 
4. We will also have jerseys as well as padded pants available at Equipment Pick for your child to try on. 

Required Participation Forms:  

Each registering athlete is required to upload a copy of their Birth Certificate, a Medical Release Form, signed by a Physician, as well as proof of residency. Residency can be established and supported by a current 2018-2019 Southern York County School District report card or Southern York County School District Bus Stop Information only.  This excluded home school, cyber schools; private schools. Example: if a child attends a school located in another county, but their school but they reside in the Southern York County, then they would register as a player in the SYC Football Program.

   2.    Proof of Residency  
      a.    Current 2018-2019 Southern York County School District report card  
      b.    2018-2019 Southern York County School District Bus Stop Information
      c.    In the event that the above proofs of residency are not available 2 documents must be submitted from the following categories to determine residency of parent/guardian: (parent/guardian’s last names must coincide with the last name of player and name/address must appear on both documents)                                         
         i.     Driver’s License                                        
         ii.    Voter’s Registration                                      
         iii.   Utility Bills (Cable; gas; electric; water/sewer)

3.    Medical Release form for player in Smurf or Rink division       
(Please complete this form if you are a parent/guardian of a child participating in SMURF  or RINK Divisions only)

4.    Medical Release form for player in Pony or Midget division       
(Please fill out this form if you are a parent/guardian of a child participating in PONY or  MIDGET Divisions only)

Players CANNOT pick up their equipment until ALL forms are signed and uploaded.

1. Practice begins in July 2019. Practices will be Mon-Fri, 6-8 pm before school year begins. Once school begins, practice will be Mon-Thu, 3 evenings a week, days TBD. 2. We will play 9 games during the season. Home games will be played on Saturday AM/PM or Sunday afternoons.

2019 SYC Summer Baseball Clinics

Whether you are a young beginner just learning the game, or a player ready to take your game up a notch, our clinics will focus quality instruction in small groups.

***Please note that players are required to wear full baseball attire to all clinics including baseball pants (no shorts). It is highly recommended that players wear an athletic cup to all clinics. Players participating in the catchers clinic must wear an athletic cup. This is a mandatory requirement for participation in catchers clinic for player safety.


We are always looking for assistance during these clinics. If you are willing to volunteer some of your time to make these clinics a success, please contact Anthony Bullano at [email protected] If a particular clinic needs to be cancelled due to low volunteer or player participation, you will be notified with an email to the address associated with your SYC account used for registration and your clinic fee will be refunded to the credit card used to pay the registration fee. 

All delays or reschedules to clinics due to weather related events will be made via the email associated with your SYC account. 

Each clinic has a maximum participate count. Registrations are on a first come first served basis. When the maximum participant count has been reached, a wait list will be opened. Information on the maximum participants per clinic is listed in the descriptions below.

July 2019 Baseball Summer Clinics at Windy Hill Fields

Pitching Clinic:

Monday July 8th. For 6 to 9 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 8 players. 

Wednesday July 10th. For 10 to 13 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 8 players. 

Infield Fundamentals:

Monday July 15th.  For 6 to 9 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 12 players. 

Tuesday July 16th. For 10 to 13 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 12 players. 

Outfield Fundamentals:


Monday July 23rd. For 6 to 9 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 9 players. 

Tuesday July 24th. For 10 to 13 year old age group there will be two sessions at $10 per session. Each session is an hour in length.  First session is 6 to 7 pm. Second session is 7 to 8 pm. Maximum participants per session is 9 players. 

Catchers Clinic: Players must wear an athletic cup to participate in this clinic. This is absolutely mandatory for safety reasons.

2019 SYC Warrior Cheer Camp

Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday August 5th - 7th from 6-8 pm
Girls in K - 8th Grade can participate
At Bethlehem Steltz Church at 5890 Steltz Road in Glen Rock
You will learn a camp cheer and dance as well as have a end of camp performance! You will also get a camp T-Shirt and Cheer Bow. 
Cost is $50 per participant.
