Parent Volunteer Coaching

Sands Eagles Soccer Program (SESP) teams are coached by volunteers. During registration you will have an opportunity to volunteer as a 'head' coach or 'assistant' coach. Please mark your desired position at that time. In reality, coaching is a combined effort. Teams run best when ALL coaches contribute and serve as leaders on their team.

While soccer experience can be helpful, it's not necessary. Good coaches are responsible, organized, good communicators, engaged, are willing and eager to learn, and demonstrate fair play and generous treatment of all players, coaches, spectators, and referees at all times.

SAY East Cincinnati offers a one-day training course free of charge, prior to the start of each season. In addition, the SESP hosts a mandatory coaches meeting and training session for all coaches prior to the start of the Spring Season and ad hoc meetings can be arranged for new coaches per request. Please know that we value your commitment and your time, and we're here to assist you when needed.
