Times Two Policy
SAY requires no less than two adults (suggested as unrelated), per team, to be present at all team functions such as games, practices, social events, etc...
Notes:
- The adults assigned can be a combination of coaches, parents/guardians/caregivers, board members, etc...
- While the focus of this policy is the child it also provides protection for the volunteers in case of misunderstandings.
- SAY National has for a long time recommended that volunteers not provide transportation for non-family members. This is both and insurance issue and also concerns the "Times Two" policy.
Failure to implement the "Times Two" program may adversely impact our liability insurance coverage.
Practices, team events, etc... MUST be cancelled if there are not at least two adults present. Please remind your parents/guardians/caregivers of this so as to prevent unnecessary cancellations.

"Rule of Three"
If a player must be escorted to a bathroom, water fountain, or any place where you would otherwise be alone, or out of sight of others, you MUST bring another adult or player with. You should NEVER be alone with a child (except for your own).
