General Information
Canton Soccer Club Community teams (U9-U18) play in the WSSL (Western Suburban Soccer League), also known as "Whistle." WSSL is the also known as "rec travel" as teams will play against other clubs such as Livonia, Plymouth and Northville, and consists of two seasons. Leagues are offered in fall and spring only and each one is approximately two months (although some teams try to stay together over the winter and play indoor with High Velocity). Teams are single gender and age specific. The game and training schedule is coordinated by the coach.

U9-U10 (7v7)
U11-U12 (9v9)
U13 & Up (11v11)
Practices
Practices are coordinated by the coaches and are completely dependent upon their availability. Typically coaches will practice twice a week (Mon-Thurs) at or after 5pm. We are unable to assign players to teams based on personal conflicts. Teams and coaches are formed after registration and the coach will pick the practice times based on his/her availability and field availability.
HS Teams
During the High School soccer season (Girls–Spring and Boys-Fall), U15+ teams play a 6v6 format on an 8v8 field and are allowed to use up to three guest players. During the off-season from HS soccer, the teams go back to 11v11 format. These teams do have different registration guidelines and dates.
HS Tryouts
If your child is trying out for their high school soccer team, we recommend you still register and pay during open registration. If he/she makes the HS team, you have one week after HS tryouts are finalized to let us know for a full refund. If he/she does NOT make the HS team then you are already registered and will not have to be placed on the waitlist which can forfeit your spot on the previous team and be subject to late fees.
Request for refund (HS only) deadline is one week after the last tryout date for Plymouth/Canton High Schools.
