DYC Volleyball 2024-2025

Are you ready for another exciting season of DYC Volleyball?

All kids play! There are no try outs!

All the games and practices will be played at Eisenhower Junior High and Gower Middle School. Games/Practices begin at either 6:00pm or 6:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

3rd-5th grade practices begin on November 1st and the season ends on December 20th.

6th- 8th practices begin on January 6th and the season ends the first week in March.

Everyone must bring knee pads.

Volunteer coaches are needed for both groups.

INSTRUCTIONAL (Division I)

Grades K-1

Introduction to the game of basketball. Games and practices on 8ft rims, half court games. Instructional basketball will focus on basic fundamentals for your child. These include ball handling, shooting, passing, and defense!

INTERMEDIATE (Division II)

Grades 2-3

A step up from the Instructional Division. Played on 10ft rims, full-court. Intermediate basketball will build on the skills learned in Instructional basketball. Focus will be made on fundamentals, and there will be an introduction to game play.

ADVANCED (Division III)

Grades 4-5

Just a step below full league play. Modified rules for this division. The first few games of the season, violations will not result in a turn over. This is a learning league.

LEAGUE PLAY (Division IV)

Grades 6-8

This league is complete gameplay, with IHSA rules.

Season Timing:

Instructional (Div. I) and Intermediate (Div. II) Start early November and will end with an Olympics day in February.

Advanced (Div III) and League Play (Div IV) will start early November and end in March with Playoffs and Skills Day.
