K-1 Rules
Olympic Rules
Introduction to the game of basketball. Games and practices only on Saturdays. Played at Concord School on 8ft rims, half court games.
Instructional basketball will focus on basic fundamentals for your child. These include ball handling, shooting, passing, and defense!
The only competition will by the Olympics at the end of the season, this is a team event.
INTERMEDIATE
Grades 2-3

A step up from the Instructional Division. 1 practice per week, 1 game on Saturday. Played on 10ft rims, full-court. Intermediate basketball will build on the skills learned in Instructional basketball. Focus will be made on fundamentals, and there will be an introduction to game play.
The only competition will by the Olympics at the end of the season, this is a team event.
ADVANCED
Grades 4-5
4-5 Rules
Olympic Rules
Just a step below full league play. Modified rules for this division. This is a learning league. 1 practice per week, officiated games on Saturdays.
LEAGUE PLAY
Grades 6-8
6-8 Rules
Skills Day Rules
(Technical foul during a game is an automatic suspension for next game)
This league is complete gameplay, with IHSA rules. 1 practice per week and officiated games on Saturdays.
Season Timing:
All levels will start in Early November. and take a break at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each league is guaranteed a minimum of 10 games/practices.
Instructional (Div. I) and Intermediate (Div. II) will end with an Olympics day in February.
Advanced (Div III) and League Play (Div IV) will end in March with Skills Day and Playoffs.
How are Teams Formed?
Our goal is to teach kids sportsmanship, how to play basketball, improve their skills and have fun doing it.
All Levels will have assigned teams created by the director bsaed on skills, past evaluations, coach requests, and player requests. None of the requests are guaranteed.
