Our 2020 - 12U Stewards STORM Cooperstown Team is still looking for a 2-3 more players to join our team. There is no cost to tryout. Please contact Head Coach (Casey Fitzsimons) at [email protected] or 704-763-0301 to arrange a private tryout.
This team will play in competitive metro area tournaments throughout the Fall/Spring/Summer baseball seasons, culminating in a year-end, summer trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York.
Our team will be attending Week 5 at Cooperstown Dreams Park - July 4th - July 10th, 2019
Coaches plan to select an 11-12 player roster for this year's team.
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
1. May not turn 13 before May 1st, 2020
2. Must participate in Challenge practices (1 weeknight and Sunday afternoons on weekends we are not playing).
3. Must participate in play in 6-8 weekend tournaments during the spring season (Weather Permitting)
4. If selected for the team, there will be a $450 non-refundable deposit to be paid by TBD. This will include the costs for Challenge jerseys and hats.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
1. We plan to play 8 (2-day) Weekend Tournaments in the spring (weather permitting)
2. Tournament fees will average about $36 for 2-day tourneys. If the team raises enough money, tournament costs will come out of that fund.
3. The cost for Cooperstown is approximately $24,0000 for a team of 15 (12 players and 3 coaches). Parents of each player are responsible for hosting at least one team fundraising event and the team is expected to participate in a many team fundraising events as possible. Fewer fundraising events will be necessary if families can secure team sponsors. More details to come.
4. The cost of the Cooperstown trip for players, includes food, lodging, meals and most uniform items, with the exception of pants and a belt.
