2018 FALL SOFTBALL OPTIONS
INSTRUCTIONAL CLINICS - COED Ages 4-6 - ($115 per player)
Our fall instructional clinics are centered on providing ballplayers with an opportunity to hone their baseball skills during the "off-season" by offering 2 instructional clinics during the week and inter-squad scrimmage games on Saturdays. The instructional clinics will last about 1½ hours at 6pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. The clinics will be focused on teaching players sound, age-appropriate FUNdamentals by running them through fun-filled “Skills & Drills” that provide them with the multiple repetitions they need to further develop their mechanics. These sessions will be fairly informal in that players can attend as many of the clinics as they like during the week. Of course, we would encourage all these players to make as many of the clinics as they can....but no "coach" or "team" pressure to attend them all. On Saturday mornings from 9am-11am, players will participate in inter-squad scrimmage games. Clinics & Scrimmages will run from September 4th - October 27th. (WEATHER PERMITTING)
2017 NORTH MECK FILLY LEAGUE PLAY - $180 per player
8U Girls - Ages 7-8
10U Girls - Ages 9-10
12U Girls - Ages 11-12 (TBD)
(Eligibility to play is based on a players age as of January 1st, 2018)
We will have one team of 12 players per age division, which means
SPACES ARE LIMITED. Softball Teams will practice weekly and play up to 2 games per week (typically, one weeknight and one Saturday game). The season will run from early September - November 3rd (WEATHER PERMITTING). Practices will begin in late August (likely around the week of August 20th). Opening Day is TBD. The postseason tourney should conclude by Nov 4th if not sooner (More info to come soon). The 8U, 10U, 12U Divisions will most likely play against other teams in the area (HYAA, Cornelius, Charlotte, Davidson, Mallard Creek, Mooresville, Concord & East Lincoln) so there may be a little travel involved.
Registration Fee for the North Meck Filly League Play divisions includes a game jersey, practice t-shirt, and socks that players keep.
Parents of Instructional Clinic players are responsible for supplying a pair of GREY or WHITE baseball pants (to be determined by each teams head coach) as well as socks to be worn at practices & games (colors also to be determined by head coach). Pants should be elastic or drawstring design.
