Stewards of the Game exists to IMPACT and TRANSFORM lives through sports outreach, evangelism, and discipleship. Our goal is to touch the HEAD, HANDS, & HEART of every kid who participates in our sports ministry programming, both locally and globally.

As we get ready to CELEBRATE 20 YEARS of outstanding, faith-driven sports ministry in 2020, our Board of Directors has been prayerfully involved in transforming SOTG into something MORE than just a unique sports league. Stewards of the Game now oversees 3 incredible ministries that will ALLOW YOU to have an even GREATER ROLE in IMPACTING and TRANSFORMING lives through sports!

PLAY Stewards – will continue to be our primary avenue through which we foster a transformational sports experience in the lives of kids who play in our recreational baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball leagues. Every season, SOTG fully scholarships or provides financial aid to about 10%-12% of our families who cannot afford to pay to play in an organization like ours. We never want to turn a child or family away for financial reasons, and thankfully we have never had to do so, thanks to the generosity of our Stewards Family and Friends!

Stewards GLOBAL IMPACT – Stewards of the Game continues to make strides in sharing the gospel through sports in countries like Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Nicaragua. A baseball or soccer ball go a long way in opening up spiritual conversations with people who have never been open to hearing before. SOTG will continue to send short term ministry teams along with invaluable sports ministry supplies to our partners on the ground throughout the year. 

Stewards H3 ACADEMY – Plans are underway to launch H3Academy in the Coulwood and North Charlotte areas sometime in 2020. H3 Academy exists to serve youth athletes and use sports as an avenue to minister to the Head, Hands, and Heart of through an after-school and summer camp program. The dream for H3 Academy is to...

• provide leadership development, set academic goals, offer tutoring and career readiness, and ensure that these athletes become productive members of society (Head).
• offer high quality sports specific training in the offseason, and nutritional assistance so these athletes can develop the skills God gave them (Hands).
• impact the heart of each and every athlete that comes through the doors; a ministry that will introduce them to the life-changing love of Christ and disciple them through critical seasons in their life. Additionally, this ministry will model a healthy family dynamic, with mentorship from Godly mentors in particular (Heart).

Typical registration fees that we charge from season to season barely cover the costs of uniforms, officials, field/gym rentals, insurance, equipment, and basic administrative costs. In order for Stewards to have an even greater impact, we need your financial support NOW to help these 3 amazing sports ministry initiatives succeed in IMPACTING and TRANSFORMING lives.
