Youth Volleyball
Volleyball is available to girls grades 3rd-8th and focuses on developing strong volleyball student-athletes.
Up to two boys may play on each team for grades 3rd-6th season teams and on the club teams (see details below).

Divisions and Fees
Summer Clinic
YC Youth Volleyball kicks off each season with the YC Volleyball Clinic. Designed to teach the basic rules and skills of the game and get everyone warmed up for the season! Register Here
-The first 2 days of the clinic are designed for incoming 3rd graders and players in any grade with no experience.
-Day 3 is filled with fun games and competitions.
-Days 4 and 5 are for the seasoned players through 8th grade.
-Join us for as many days as you'd like!
-Cost is a flat $25 per player which goes right back into the program!
-Location is Yamhill Carlton High School Gym
-Time of clinic is 8:15-11:30 Monday-Friday 3rd Week in August
Fall Season
After the Summer Clinic coaches and player prepare for the Fall Season where we compete against local school districts.
-Players are placed on teams based on their grade level, 3rd-6th.
-Players in 7th and 8th grade will practice and data will be collected to determine "A" and "B" Teams to compete in the league.
-Teams will have practices at YCIS or YCES.
-Practices will be during the week, days and times to be determined by coaches.
-Practices start the first week of school!
-Matches run from Mid-Late September to the end of October.
-Cost for 3rd-6th grade season is $45 and 7th and 8th graders cost is $100 per player.
-3rd-6th grade parents are responsible for transporting/carpooling players to all competitions.
-7th and 8th grade players are bused to and from competitions.
Spring Club Season
YC Cats Volleyball Club is an opportunity for players to improve their skills and play longer than the fall season.
-Club runs from November-May.
-Players and volunteers must register with the regional volleyball association (see fee below) at CEVA Region.
-Try-outs for competitive teams and friendship teams are the first or second Sunday in November.
-Boys are welcome in club volleyball, no more than 2 boys per team.
-Players and volunteers must complete online training before tournaments start.
-Second weekend in December offers our first warm up tournament, and the rest of the season runs from January-May.
-Practices will be 1-2 times a week including Sunday evenings.
-Tournaments are on weekends ONLY and are ALL DAY events!
-Parents are responsible for transporting and/or carpooling players to all tournaments.
-Tournaments can be as far north as Kelso or Longview, WA or as far south as Eugene.
-Cost is approximately $55 for CEVA membership and $250 per player to YCTC for club participation, fundraising options available.
Coaching Opportunities
We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by coaching volleyball or assisting a coach. We hope you will consider helping our program by coaching or volunteering. If interested please register online by clicking "Coaching".
How do I Register?
If you already have an account with us (Blue Sombrero), please click on log-in in the upper right hand corner. If you do not have a household account, please click on register. This will enable you to create a household account and you will then be able to receive emails from YCTC about upcoming registration and other important events. Payment is due at the time of registration (if mailing a check - it is due within one week) or your child will be placed on a waiting list until we receive payment.
What are the participation requirements?
1. Online registration complete.
2. All fees must be paid or payment plan agreed upon with the YCTC office.
3. A sports physical is required for 7th grade and older athletes (once on file, a physical is valid for 2 years).
4. Equipment needed:
-Black or White Kneepads
-NO jewelry can worn at any time on the court for practices or matches (plain wedding bands ok for coaches).
-Practices: Athletic and appropriate clothes (may be spandex, but NOT required).
-Matches: Jersey and SOLID BLACK shorts (may be spandex, but NOT required)
-Low-heeled Athletic Court Shoes
-Coaches will expect long hair to be tied up for practices and matches!
-Official volleyballs provided for practices and matches.
