David Castro grew up in the north Denver metro area where he played youth soccer for the Northglenn Thunder Soccer Club. He continued his soccer career after high school in the US Army, as both a player and coach. His desire to play college soccer led him to Metropolitan State College of Denver where he played varsity soccer for 3 years while earning a degree in Business Management. His passion for soccer led him to full-time coaching at the age of 23. Since that time, David has enjoyed developing players of all ages and levels. David has experience coaching at several different high schools, most recently as the Head Girl's Soccer Coach at Legacy High School in Broomfield. He also served as a member of the University of Colorado Women's Club Soccer coaching staff. During his time at BSC, David has served as an assistant DOC and the Director of Player Development. Under David’s leadership as the Director of Coach – Girls, the girls program has won 9 State Cup and 6 Presidents Cup titles, and seen well over 80 players reach their dream of playing in college.  David currently holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USSF National C License.
