Broomfield Burn

We are very excited to announce that Broomfield Soccer Club has been awarded an expansion franchise in the WPSL, which will be known as the Broomfield Burn! Over the past decade, the club has grown in both quantity and quality by leaps and bounds, and this is the next step in our evolution. This team will give players who have gone on to play at the next level a place to play over the summer, and will be an exciting team for our community to come out and support.

The WPSL, or Women's Premier Soccer League, is the largest soccer league in the world, with 131 teams competing this year. Notable WPSL alumnae include Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain, Joy Fawcett, Heather Mitts, Keri Sanchez, Kylie Bivens, Leslie Osbourne, Kristine Lilly, Jennifer Molina, Monica Gonzalez, Sissi, Nozumi Yamago, Shannon Boxx, Karen Bardsley.

The Broomfield Burn will be competing in the Mountain Conference, Rockies Division, against 5 other Colorado based teams. The Burn will play all home games at Elizabeth Kennedy Stadium (Broomfield High School). The season will run from mid-May through mid-July, with specific game dates to be released in early March.

We hope that we can count on your support over the season, primarily by coming out to cheer on the team. Information on tickets will be released in early-mid April. We will also be looking for volunteers to help out with various tasks, and will send more info out with specifics as the time gets closer. Finally, this will be an opportunity for our youth teams to participate with the older players by being ball kids, participating in camps coached by the players, and more!
