GOALKEEPER / STRIKER CAMP OVERVIEW
The 2019 Goalkeeper/Striker Camp is open to players born between the birth years of 2012-2001. SSA Savannah United members AND non-members are welcome to register. While most players who attend this camp play on year-round competitive soccer teams, we are happy to accept players of all levels who truly want to work hard and learn. Groups will be split with age and level of play taken into consideration.
STRIKERS
- The Striker part of this camp focuses on the actions & situations that commonly take place in the final third of the field and close to the goal. Our licensed coaches will help players develop & improve a variety of finishing techniques, instill good habits & smart decision making as well as sharpen their awareness of the field. In the modern game every player ends up having a goal scoring opportunity regardless of their position so this camp is open to any field player, regardless of where they usually play.
GOALKEEPERS
- The Goalkeeper part of this camp focuses on both technical aspects and tactical awareness for goalkeepers. Our licensed goalkeeper coaches will improve existing techniques as well as improve positional play when their team has possession / does not have possession of the ball. Goalkeepers are required to do more than just make saves so our coaches will also help improve decision making when the goalkeeper has the ball in their hands and their feet. This is offered for both experienced goalkeepers and any player interested in becoming a goalkeeper.

- Cost: $175 for the week.
- Location: Jenner Ross Complex - New Turf Fields (Sallie Mood Drive)
- All players receive a camp shirt with their registration
- If you register after July 17h you are not guaranteed to get your camp shirt during the week of camp.

Coach Gunn will be directing his 8th Goalkeeper / Striker Camp this summer, which has proven to be very popular within the community and continues to grow each year. He brings a wealth of soccer coaching and camp experience at all levels of play. Keith has been involved in summer camps in the Greater Savannah area since 2006 as has been invited to work at prestigious collegiate soccer camps for Georgia Southern University, University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan.
