Falling under the recreational umbrella, our pre-academy and intermediate academy programs cater to those wanting more than recreational soccer with an objective of encouraging development at an accelerated pace. These programs prepare players for a smooth and fluid transition into our competitive and academy teams by focusing on individual skill development and the core values which make up the Rush way (our curriculum and philosophy). Beginning at 2014 (U-9), players are then placed on tiered teams by ability within our competitive program, exposing them to our professional staff coaches.
Designed to mirror the competitive program, training within our pre-academy and intermediate academy consists of one (sometimes two) sessions per week in addition to matches on the weekend.
Pre-Academy (2015 birthyear)
This is a year long commitment (Fall, Winter, Spring). While there are not really tryouts, because anyone can join, the teams are initially formed after tryouts in June. If you are interested and missed out on joining before the Fall season started, then contact us to see if there is still room on any of the teams. Teams may play in our recreational league or, if they are ready, in the U9 division of the Heartland League.
Intermediate Academy (2016 and 2017 birthyears)
For the younger kids we offer three different seasons (fall, winter, spring) with parents having the ability to commit season by season. To maintain continuity in regards to development, we do encourage parents to commit to the entire year if possible. The Intermediate Academy teams play their games in our recreational league.
