The Impact you have F.O.R. the Kids
With long-term strategic direction from the Kansas Rush Soccer Club's Board of Directors and the mission of our club the following fundraising objectives are provided:
Registration Fees
- KS Rush takes pride in keeping our registration fees as low as possible. Whether recreational leagues, competitive club teams, camps, or skills programs, we try to be the same or lower than other options offered in the community. Just as in any business or industry the costs to offer our programs are going up every year, from the cost of leasing and maintaining fields to camp t-shirts. You sponsorship helps us supplement the registration fees so that we don't have to raise them each year.
Financial Assistance
- KS Rush has always set aside a pool of many for financial assistance to players and families who document a clear financial need. Unfortunately, on our own that pool of money, which starts in the 10's of thousands of dollars, is gone by the end of the Fall season. Our goal is to raise this pool significantly in order to allow any kid in our community the opportunity to play recreational or competitive regardless of their financial situation. Our goal, which seems lofty right now, is to have partners that allow us to grow this pool into the $75,000 to $100,000 range.
Coaching education, retention of quality staff, and recruitment of new coaches
- Beginning this past Fall we began offering online coaching programs for our volunteer parent coaches at the recreational level. This program provides age appropriate weekly drills for the coaches that build on themselves each week. The feedback from this program was overwhelmingly positive. While we provide it free to the coaches it is an added expense for Rush. Your contribution helps us to continue these types of programs.
- We send some of our professional coaching staff each year to coaching conferences and programs designed to keep them informed of new ideas and continue their development as coaches.
Improvements to facilities and equipment
- a significant portion of KS Rush revenue goes towards the maintenance of the fields and equipment at Lone Elm Soccer Park. As you know, the cost of seed, fertilizer, gasoline, line paint, labor, etc. is always going up. Directly impacting our expenditures. Your contributions will help us continue without having to raise any registration fees.
- We have plans for future facilities that will be incredible. You contributions will help those plans become reality.
- Additionally, sponsor contributions have a big impact on the smaller equipment we have available for coaches at all levels to use in training...including but not limited to balls, cones, pop up nets, whistles, pennies, etc.
Player/Parent Education
- We are in the process of launching a multi-meeting College Advisory Program. Our first session will be January 23, 2018 with several coaches from our staff communicating what every aspiring college player needs to know about the recruiting process and breaking it down into what players in each age group need to be doing. The goal being to break it down into simple to do steps and take away the overwhelming feeling many players experience. The second meeting is February 3rd. We will be flying in coaches from all over the country to speak to our group. There will be coaches from every college division (NAIA, D1, D2, and D3) and both men's and women's coaches. This meeting gives our players a chance to hear directly from the college coaches. Two of our staff coaches will also act as contacts that players can contact directly for questions or help. Your contribution will help us to make this program an annual occurrence.
- We also have plans to team with community partners to bring classes to our players based on nutrition (what should I eat and when before a game/practice?), injury prevention (what can I do to prevent pulled muscles or more serious injuries? Once I feel a muscle getting tight, what should I do to keep it from getting worse?), and hydration (How much water should I drink before a game and when?). Our hope is to arrange for these classes to be led by Friends Of Rush who have experts in these fields.
