When on-water ceased to be available in the Lake Norman region, Carla Jenkins, Sarah Norton and Eileen O'Flaherty founded LKN Indoor Rowing to keep the sport accessible to folks in the region while they searched for water access. 

Finally, in June 2016, Davidson Parks & Recreation built racks to accommodate rowing shells and LK Davidson Sculling was formed. Our mission is to provide opportunities for Lake Norman residents to discover the Rowed to Fitness, both in the water and on land. We offer sculling and erging lessons and share sculling shells and oars through our co-op.
