LKDS is offering a youth sculling program to prepare for the High Point Autumn Rowing Festival Regatta on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Lessons will be taught using single shells. Max capacity is 2 rowers per session.
Description: Athletes will have semi-private sculling lessons/competitive training in single (1x) shells. They will start in recreational singles and advance to racing singles. This will optimally position them for future racing in both singles, and scull or sweep boats big boats.
The program will prepare participants for the High Point Autumn Rowing Festival Regatta on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Athletes will compete against other novice youth rowers and be able to watch collegiate and masters races.
Start date:
New Rowers: 7 Week Program: 1 week on-land beginning August 19, followed with 6 weeks on-water
End date: High Point Autumn Rowing Festival Regatta on Saturday, October 6, 2024
Days and Times:
Option A: Mondays & Wednesdays 3:45 – 5 pm
Option B: Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:45 – 5 pm
