Below are several answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding 2026 Recreation Registration!
• There are no tryouts. We do our best to honor teammate and coach requests, though cannot guarantee them.
• If your son or daughter is new to the sport, they will be made to feel welcome and will be on a team that is balanced in experience. Each child should have their own batting helmet, glove and bat. Softball players wear fielding masks as well. If you need assistance with this, please let us know.
• Our game schedule is determined after we know how many teams we have. It will be posted in mid-March.
• Teams will be selected in the second week of March. By the third week of March, coaches will begin to reach out to their rosters.
• Uniforms are part of the registration cost. These will be delivered to your coach during the last week of March.
• Most teams will practice once per week and the time and place will be decided by your head coach. Practice space is at a premium, so there is not always a perfect space for every team. Practices will start in late March. This will also be posted as it is confirmed.
• Games will begin the first week of April and run until Memorial Day. Rec playoffs will be the week after Memorial Day.
• There are no games scheduled during CCD; CCS is always a priority. Additionally, Tuesdays are reserved for travel team practices, so there will be no rec activity (except for softball 10U, 12U and 14U) on any Tuesdays.
• Each team will have a head coach and up to two assistant coaches. They must be fingerprinted and take a Virtus class prior to the season. Each team will also have a snack parent who will work with our snack bar coordinator to have their team cover the snack bar during games 2-3 times per season.
