Coventry Little League has proudly served our community since 1966. Over the decades, we have grown alongside the Owen J. Roberts School District, continually evolving our programs while staying true to the core philosophy of Little League: providing youth with a safe, healthful, and fun environment to learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. Our mission is to help children grow into confident, capable, and responsible citizens through the joy of baseball and softball.
At Coventry Little League, we believe every child who wants to play baseball or softball should have the opportunity—regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances. No child will be denied participation due to financial hardship. Please reach out if your family needs assistance.
Challenger Division
In 2018, Coventry Little League proudly introduced our Challenger Division, a program designed for children with special needs. Challenger Baseball, established in 1989, provides children with the same opportunities to enjoy the game as millions of other players worldwide. Today, more than 30,000 children participate in over 900 Challenger Divisions globally.

T-Ball
Our T-Ball program introduces boys and girls ages 4-6 to baseball and softball in a fun, instructional environment. Coaches are actively on the field, stopping the game to teach fundamentals, ensuring that every child learns the basics while enjoying the game.
Baseball Programs
Coventry Little League offers baseball programs for children ages 7-13 across Training, Minors, Majors, and Intermediate divisions.
Training Baseball (Machine Pitch) – Ages 6-7

Instruction-focused, with coaches on the field teaching fundamentals.

Uses a pitching machine to provide consistent pitches at 38-40 mph.

Minors Baseball (Player Pitch) – Ages 8-9

Players are evaluated before the season to ensure proper placement.

Emphasizes learning to hit a pitched ball, team cohesion, and fundamentals.

Field dimensions: 46’ pitching distance, 60’ base paths.
Majors Baseball – Ages 10-12

Competitive middle division promoting advanced skills, pitching, and baseball knowledge.

Experienced 11-12 year-olds may opt to “play up” to Intermediate.
Intermediate Baseball (50/70 Division) – Ages 11-13

Players 11-12 must indicate interest during registration and are evaluated.

Limited to 4 teams (44 players); all players are drafted.

Players not drafted due to space limitations will play in Majors.

Softball Programs
Coventry Little League offers softball programs for girls ages 7-16 in Training, Minors, Majors, and Senior divisions.
Training Softball (Coach Pitch) – Ages 6-8

Minors Softball (Player Pitch) – Ages 9-10
Majors Softball – Ages 11-12 (10-year-olds may try out)

Designed for experienced players who wish to continue in Little League Softball.
