MBA Code of Conduct

General Terms and MBA Code of Conduct
 
1) I understand all players are limited to participating on only one (1) team, either an in-house (MBA) team or an MBA traveling team.  If a player is on the roster of a team from another league, another organization, or another town, that player will not be able to play on an MBA team.
 
2) I assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation including, but not limited to, personal property and transportation to and from all activities.  I do hearby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the local league, its organizers, sponsors, supervisors, participants, and persons transporting my/our child whether the result of negligence or any other cause, except to the extent and in the amount covered by accidental or liability insurance.
 
3) I will furnish a certified birth certificate or copy thereof for the above named child to MBA Board Member at initial sign-up and/or upon request as verification of this child's age.
 
4) I understand that either my spouse or I have an obligation to work as scheduled in the concession stand.
 
5) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall respect one another.
 
6) All coaches, parents, spectators, and players shall respect officials decisions.
 
7) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall engage in fair play and abide by all game rules.
 
8) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall refrain from engaging in taunting of other coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials by means of baiting or ridiculing.
 
9) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall refrain from verbal and/or profane abuse of other coaches, parents, spectators, players, other participants, and officials.
 
10) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall refrain from threatening physical violence or engaging in any form of physical violence.
 
11) All coaches, parents, spectators, players, and officials shall win and lose with good sportsmanship and shall strive to make youth sports programs rewarding for all.
 
 
 
The MBA board WILL ban any coach, parent, player, spectator, other participant, or official from future MBA youth sports events if that person:
 
(A) Engages in verbal abuse or threatens physical violence to another coach, parent, spectator, other participant, or official.
 
-OR-
 
(B) Initiates a fight or scuffle with any official, coach, parent, player, spectator, or other participant.
 
-OR-
 
(C) Engages in repeated and flagrant violations of the MBA Code of Conduct.
 
 
In the event that any coach, parent, player, spectator, other participant, or official is banned from attending MBA sponsored youth events, that person may petition the MBA board for permission to resume attendance and/or participation.  Before being allowed to attend and/or participate further in MBA sponsored youth sports events, the MBA Board may require proof of completion of anger management counseling or its equivalent.
