Shetland baseball is for first time baseball players ages approximately 5-6.  The goal of this division is to teach very basic baseball concepts, while ensuring all children have a fun and worthwhile experience.  Scores are NOT kept in any way and strict baseball rules are not adhered to.  Some basic concepts:

VIEW SHETLAND RULES 

• Coaches pitch to all batters
• If the batter has not hit a ball within the first six pitches, they hit off of the tee
• Every batter bats in every inning, after which the inning is over
• Batters and runners are allowed to advance one base at a time
• All players play in the field, every inning
