Sadly... during the COVID-19 stay at home orders,
unknown individuals decided to take the time out of their day to break
into our complex and destroy our biggest income provider - the
Concession Building!! The vandals
also stole equipment and extra pants and hats we use to assist players
in need. This was not an act of someone looking for shelter or food
because they cut the lines to every appliance we had (small and large), pulled
out shelves, damaged fridges / freezers, deep fryer, microwaves, the hot dog roller and more.
It was an unthinkable act.
So in light of this, the committee has decided to press on
and put together a fun virtual event. Luckily, we had
been shopping for
items earlier in the year, so there are some great purses to win! We
have also found
some really wonderful local businesses to donate items. This event will
be conducted similar to the Basket Raffle that we have run in
combination to the Bag Bingo in past years. So if you are
looking for something fun to do virtually on Friday, May 22nd.. come
join us as we have some laughs while pulling the winners of these raffles. (This is not
the Cash Raffle that each family paid for during registration. The
cash raffle will still take place at a later date in June or July.)
