Coaching Staff Bios



Dawson/Lumpkin Director

William E. Mostellar Sr.    USSF C License William developed a passion for soccer growing up in Atlanta and has been involved in every aspect of the game. He holds a National C Coaching License, worked as a Director of Coaching, has run a Recreational Club, and officiated in numerous leagues and tournaments. In his playing days, he was the Captain/Coach of the Norton AFB team and was invited to the United States Air Force Training Camp in 1992 to compete with the other branches of the military.

William’s coaching philosophy is that soccer is played “In your mind, with your feet, on the field” and focuses on improving technical ability so that a player can apply the mental aspects of the game. This has developed in his players a life-long love of the beautiful game, several State Cup appearances, and advanced playing opportunities.

Coerver Youth Diploma

Mathew Newman has been a coach in youth soccer since 1998. He has coached successfully at both the Academy and Classic levels.  The last two years, his U-19 Boys team competed for the Georgia State Championship after starting at the Classic IV level just two years prior to State Cup. 

He is a former professional boxer, and won two Gold Glove Titles during a ten year career. He therefore brings great knowledge in the development of the physical and psychological components of the elite athlete. Newman and his wife, Susan, have been married since 1989 and have two children, Jacob (19) and John (15) who both love soccer and play for both United FA and their schools. He graduated from Adelphi University in 1980 and has lived in Atlanta since 1987.

 Alison Blythe



USSF Youth License

Alison Blythe was raised in Gainesville, GA and now lives with husband, Robby and children, in Dawsonville. They currently have 3 children playing Select level soccer. She has coached pre-academy and academy level players. She enjoys playing and analyzing the game, studying the various systems of play and considers herself a student of the game.



Alison is a Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Fitness Specialist- Level 3 and Certified Speed and Agility Trainer. She is certified in the FMS and Y-balance testing protocols. She enjoys working with youth – teaching technical/tactical soccer skills, especially foot work and feints, as well as improving their strength, speed and agility.
 Dana Chapman



USSF Youth License Dana Chapman currently holds a USSF National D License with experience in coaching and training soccer players from ages 4-22 for over 10 years.  She helped train players of all levels at numerous clinics and summer camps through Lanier Soccer Association and Elite Indoor Soccer Academy and is currently the Girls’ Head Varsity Coach at North Forsyth High School.  After college she was the assistant coach for Brenau University where her main focuses were recruiting and goalkeeper training.  As a player, Dana started playing at the age of 4 and is still playing competitively.  In college she played for Brenau University where she won numerous academic, conference and region accolades as well as breaking the school record for goals scored, minutes played, games started, and was a 3 year captain.  After college, Coach Chapman was a starting player for the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s Georgia Revolution.  Dana is currently a PE teacher at Otwell Middle School in Forsyth County and is married to Greg, a lieutenant for the Forsyth County Fire Department.
August Dennis



 

August Dennis started coaching recreational soccer 10 years ago in middle Georgia. August has lived in Dawsonville for the past 6 years with his wife and 3 sons who are playing club soccer and other recreational sports. August acquired his E license while coaching Dawsonville’s first pre-academy and academy teams. August has also coached at the select level. August played youth soccer for nine years in south Florida while being an accomplished wrestler. August won 11 state championships, was a 3 time Junior Olympic champion and an All American wrestler. August implements training philosophies obtained through his wrestling career to his coaching methods. August is currently obtaining his D license.

 

Aksel Lund

USSF D License Aksel Lund grew up playing soccer in Chile. He started at the age of 10 and continued playing through college where he studied Industrial Civil Ingeniere. He started at keeper as well as at center forward. He came to USA in 2003 and began coaching young developing players on the Park and recreational programs in Dawson County. He returned to Chile where he competed in high level adult leagues until his return to Dawson in 2010. He has helped coaching at Dawson High School since that time in addition to working with the youth in the community. Aksel has a tremendous passion for soccer and inspires others to pursue theirs highest goals in the sport.

Jeff Jager



USSF Youth License Jeff Jager has played competitive soccer for over 18 years at the Classic 1, High School Varsity, and Division 2 College levels.  At Augusta State University he was a 4 year starter that helped his team achieve a school record high ranking of 14 in the nation for Division 2.  Jeff finished his competitive playing career in 2000 at ASU.  During his 4 years at ASU he was afforded the opportunity to begin his coaching career with the local club team.  During his coaching career, Jeff has coached ages ranging from U8 until U19 and all ability levels from Rec to select as well as Junior Varsity and Varsity at the High School level.  Jeff currently holds a USSF National D License and is the Varsity Boys Coach at North Forsyth High School.  On a personal note, Jeff is married to Mary Beth Jager who teaches at Forsyth Central.  They have 2 daughters, Ellie who is 3 and Reese who is 1 year old. 
Jayson Glamuzina



USSF D License

Jayson began playing soccer at the age of 10. He continued to play soccer through high school and in the military from 1992-1996.

Jayson and his wife, Mardie, along with their four children, are from Central Florida. Jayson began coaching his children in Rec soccer in the fall of 2003. In the spring of 2004, he was asked to Coach a U13 girl’s select team and continued coaching them through 2008. The girls played in 4 Region Cups, two finals and State Cup Champions. His time ended with the girls ranking 3rd in the SE Cup Finals.  He contributed to 11 out of 14 girls receiving partial and full soccer scholarships. 

 Jayson then continued to coach in Dawson County in recreation, Academy, and Select. He has experience in coaching from the young age of U5 through U17. His approach to coaching soccer is more than just coaching the game. He has an intense passion not only for the game but for creating a very strong correlation within his teams.  If anyone was to ask what his motto is; it would be “We are family.”

Toni Llor



USSF D License

Coach Llor was born and raised in Barcelona (Spain), he dedicated all his life to his passion for soccer. Moving up from lower leagues he finally play professional on 2A and 3rd division, at the same time that play indoor (futsal) in different leagues, he  wanted to focus his career only in Futsal until he reached to his personal dream to play for F.C. Barcelona from 1994 to 1996.



Llor got married and move to U.S. in 2003. He and his wife have three children and continues in soccer as a coach.  Coach Llor feels he has come full circle as all of  the hard work of learning the game now transfers to developing players from a young age and having fun while they progress in their technical and tactical skills.



Coach Llor feels “there’s nothing better than seeing a young player enjoying the game, it brings me back a lot of good memories”.
Elizabeth Waite



USSF D License

Elizabeth began her club soccer career with Forsyth Fusion and then ending with Atlanta Soccer Academy (ASA). She played for North Forsyth High School then went on to Reinhardt University where she was a four year starter from 2008-2012. Her senior year as captain she helped lead her team to its first ever region championship in school history. She received her Bachelors of Science in Sports Studies with a concentration in Sports Administration. She has coached recreational teams for Cherokee Impact and UFA-Dawson. Also, Eilzabeth was an assistant coach at Dawson County High School for the men's and women's varsity 2012 season.
 
 Richard Ortega



USSF D License Coach Richard Ortega was born and raised in Lima, Peru. At the age of 15, he moved to Georgia to attend Woodstock High School where he played at the Varsity level all 4 years. Richard then attended Reinhardt University where he got a Business Information systems degree. He was also a forward and midfielder for Reinhardt's men's soccer team for 4 years. Richard previously coached for Cherokee Impact at the Pre-Academy level for 5 years. A very passionate coach who describes the game as "the perfect way to develop creativity, team skills, and passion for something all at once". 
 
 Patrick Muenchen USSF D License  Coach Patrick Muenchen has a BS in Building Construction from Georgia Tech, Physical Education Certification through attending Kennesaw State University, and a Masters Degree in Health Studies from the University of Alabama.  He is the author of a book on faith and fitness-“For We Walk by Faith.” 

Patrick has taught elementary, middle school and physical education for 22 years.  In 2004 he was the National “My Favorite PE Teacher” for Sporting Kids Magazine and PE4Life.  He currently teaches PE in Dawson County.  He has coached youth sports and soccer for 13 years. He coached high school soccer in Dekalb County at Druid Hills high school and was named 1995 Girls High School Coach of the year for Dekalb County by the Atlanta Journal and Constitution.  He has played and acted as player/coach in US Amateur Soccer in Stone Mountain/Lithonia and Blackburn Parks.
