Any child that would like to play is able to register after the 4th of July weekend for the upcoming season

2. What Payment methods are excepted?

Check, Cash, Money Order, and Credit Cards (We apologize for the inconvenience but Credit Card payments carry additional fees to the registration to help offset the cost to CUBS for allowing these payments1. If paying in full there will be a $5 additional cost to the billing 2. If making installment payments by credit card there will bee an additional $2 cost per payment)

3. Where can payments be made?

Payments may be made in person to any C.U.B.S. Board member, checks may be mailed in to the organization through our P.O. Box, or they may be made on line through our Blue Sombrero website.

4. Do you except payment plans?

As always we accept payment plans up until uniform orders. All payments must be completed by then. No uniform will be ordered for the season until the payments have been completed.

5. What can we expect for the upcoming seasons?

We are always looking for ways to making the season more enjoyable for the children. We also look forward to hearing parents and children's ideas on helping us to make a great, memorable, and enjoyable season as well.

6. Are teams able to come in and join the organization?

Yes we will except a full team to come and join us for game play through out the season. If the team is looking just to compete for the regular season there will be a team charge and the team must carry insurance, have uniforms, and equipment through the organization it is affiliated with. They must also be able to provide birth certificates for all of the children associated with the team. A full team may also register to be a part of the organization as well where we will supply the uniforms, and equipment for the season (the children must all fall with-in the appropriate age groups).

7. Are back ground check done on Volunteers?

Yes, we do perform background checks on our volunteers. This is a mandatory concern, because we want to ensure the safety of all the children of the organization.

8. Are we looking for Volunteers within the organization?

Yes, Not only do we have a Volunteer Board of Directors, but we also have organization Committees that are all volunteer as well.  These committees help to assist the board in making decisions for the organization, and help to ensure, and provide a great season for the children. If interested in joining a committee please see a board member to become a part of this great organization.

9. Why Volunteer?

Our organization is an all volunteer organization (Founders, Board Members, Directors, Committee Personnel, Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and etc. With out these Special People we could not provide the children the great season that they have. We know that being a volunteer that they may not have the time to dedicate 100% every day to the organization, but these great people dedicate the time they do have to make C.U.B.S. a place for the kids. Knowing this is why it is important that a volunteer is able to communicate with everyone involved in the organization. This helps to ensure there is someone who can perform the tasks, when the volunteer is unable to commit to that moment. (IE a fields committee member volunteered to chalk a field, but was called into work, so they contact someone to carry on the task for them. Or a Coach can not make it to a game due to vacation, and so they communicate with the assistant  coach and the parents to run the game in his absence.)

6. When do the games begin?

The actual game season will be played through June and July. This is in consideration for the Soccer Players, and High School \ Middle School Players that play ball

 11. May my child stay down a season?

In order for a child to stay down they must not turn the next age by Aug 1st of the season year year. Unless it is noted and realized through the coaching staff  and

12. What cities and other teams will my child be playing against?

C.U.B.S. has the intent to keep all games within the organization. If for some reason there are not enough teams to make this happen we have been working with
the Warren Parks and Recreations to have any divisions that do not have enough teams to compete against the WVAC and\or the St Malachy organizations for the
season. This will allow for all organizations to have a great playing season.

13. What does C.U.B.S. offer that other organizations do not and why should we join C.U.B.S. over the others?

C.U.B.S. is an open organization. We are open to not only the children of Warren, but we are open to the children of other cities as well. C.U.B.S. is continually
striving to provide the best opportunity to the children. We offer the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) Training for the coaches of the organization
as well as the National Youth Sports Officials Association (NYSOA) Training for the officials. We are open for the parents to join the Parents Association  for Youth
Sports (PAYS). We promote to be a Drug Free and Bully Free Organization and ask the children of the organization to take a stand with us to take the pledge to do
just that. C.U.B.S. does not just want to be an organization offering baseball and softball to the children, we will be the organization that the children will remember
as adults being where friends were made, teams were developed, fun was had, and being a part of this organization enriched their lives. Children at an early age
get that flyer from school or other location with a big smile on their face as they come up to you and say I want to play baseball\softball. C.U.B.S. wants that child to
keep that same excitement for the games throughout their childhood years, and give them something to grow with and love.

14. Why did C.U.B.S. decide to start their own organization?

C.U.B.S. decided to become an organization so that they could provide a greater opportunity for the children. Other organizations decided that they were content with
just providing the minimal opportunity to the children. We wanted to go above and beyond the minimal, and wanted to open the opportunity to not just one city but
many cities. C.U.B.S. wants to become an organization that will grow with the children. We also want to keep the cost down as minimal as possible, and offer more
opportunities so that more children have the opportunity to play and enjoy this summer sport as well as have a greater experience through the season. Yes C.U.B.S.
was founded on a dream, but it is built by the children.

15. What do I get for my registration cost?

Your registration costs will pay for the uniforms (Pant, Jersey, Socks, and Hat), Insurance for the children, Trophy, Umpire Costs, Field Maintenance Costs, Out
House Costs, Trash Costs, New Equipments Costs, Picnic Costs, Opening Day Costs, and paperwork costs are just a few. Majority of these costs are taken care of
by those that Sponsor the organization, and want to help provide the children with a a great season.

16. How can C.U.B.S. help my child to better improve their skills?

C.U.B.S. offers a baseball\softball camp to those who wish to attend. We also offer the opportunity to the coaches to take the NYSCA training where the learn the
fundamentals of coaching, and then they will learns training skills in their sport of baseball\t-ball or softball (coaches may also take both). At practice the coaches
also work on team development as well as the basic skills of the game. At C.U.B.S. it is not to win every game, but to go from that first practice and to develop
throughout the season, to be better than that first day.To be encouraged by their coaches and recognized how much they have improved by the end of the season.
Not just as an Individual but as a TEAM in its entirety

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns that you have or may want addressed. We at C.U.B.S. will be more than happy to talk to you about them. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this upcoming season.
