The MLB plays a major part in baseball and softball. It opens the child's eyes at a young age to see a sport that is out there for them to play and compete in. These MLB players become role models to some children, and many aspire to want to become these role models. Some children see these MLB players become part of a magnificent team and so they want to become part of a team. The MLB is a gateway for children to want to learn, and become part of something that they can enjoy. Not only do the MLB Players shine, but every franchise they belong to is a great asset to the community. This organization not only provides everyone with sports entertainment, but takes the time to give back, and help the children along the way. This is done with Programs such as the Pitch, Hit, and Run. Their Anti-Bullying Campaigns, The Baseball Tomorrow Fund, Enhancing Lives, and many others. Thanks to the MLB and the Team Tigers and Affiliated program of the Detroit Tigers we have the opportunity to provide the children of C.U.B.S. with some of these great opportunities. We at C.U.B.S. can never thank you enough, but the smiles that the children carry are worth more than words can every say.
