RYFC Joins Southern New England Youth Football Conference
Dear RYFC Families,
We are VERY EXCITED to announce that RYFC has joined the Southern New England Youth Football Conference. Joining this league will give us the opportunity to play many teams we have played in the past under similar NCFL rules and regulations.
Some towns included (but NOT limited to) in the SNEYFC are Colchester, Ellington, Griswold, Tolland and Windham. We will have 9-10 regular season games, playoffs and a "Superbowl" championship game if we make it there.
There are a few by-laws that will affect some football players directly. The date at which league age is determined is June 1st of the current calendar year for all football divisions. The weight limits for "halo" players also differ in this league. Please reach out to us directly with more questions on this matter.
Cheerleaders will follow similar NCFL rules and have an end of season competition. Last year their competition was hosted at Foxwoods! How fun is that?!
We are scheduled to kick-off our season with first practice August 1st, weigh-ins on August 27th and our first game on Sunday August 28th.
We can't wait to explore this new league and will share information with you as it becomes accessible.
We look forward to hosting meet the coaches in the near future where we can answer your questions in more detail.
Remember registration is open and we are ready for a great new season of opportunity and fun.
Let's Go RHAM!
