T-Ball (Ages 4 - 5)
T-Ball is often times where each players journey with begins. There are no tryouts for the T-Ball division. Players will be placed onto teams by the league. In this division kids will learn how to play the sport. They will begin the season by hitting off of a tee for the first half of the season. By the second half of the season coaches will begin soft pitching to the players. In the weekly practices kids will participate rotate through various stations designed to learn how to catch, throw & hit the ball. In this division all players get to bat each inning. T-Ball is all about learning the basics to the game and having fun while doing it!
Machine Pitch (Ages 5 - 7)
Machine pitch starts off adding to the skills learned in the T-Ball division. There are several changes at this level with the biggest being the most obvious. In this division a pitching machine is used as opposed to the players hitting off of a tee or a coaches pitch. The pitching machine allows for players to gain confidence in their hitting abilities without having to worry about wild pitches heading their way. Machine pitch is the division where kinds begin to take grasp of the game and further develop their catching, throwing & hitting skills.
Prep (Ages 7 - 10)
In the Prep division players begin their pitching careers in little league. The players pitch from a distance of 46' and with an average speed of 25 to 40 mph. To play in this division all kids are required to attend tryouts (Spring only Not required for Fall Ball). Umpires are used in each of the games to call the pitches and outs on defense.
Minors (Ages 9 - 11)
Similar to the Prep division, players are required to attend tryouts and are placed on a team through a draft process. The Minors division is the introduction to competitive baseball. Scores, wins & standings are logged and recorded on this website. Pitchers pitch from a distance of 46' and typically throw around 40 to 50 mph. At the end of the season there will be a tournament where the 1st place team will have the opportunity to represent Arcadia National's and play against teams from nearby leagues.
Majors (Ages 10 - 12)
Majors is the highest level of Little League. Players are required to attend tryouts and will be placed onto a team through the draft selection process. Pitching distance remains at 46' and speeds of up to 70 mph. At the end of the season there will be a tournament where the 1st place team will have the opportunity to represent Arcadia National's and play against teams from nearby leagues.
