Regents Youth Football

YMCA of Dane County

As the leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the YMCA of Dane County is proud to share that our foundation was and continues to be built on community volunteers.  To do our important work, Regents Youth Football relies heavily on the support from community leaders and volunteer coaches.  All Regent volunteer coaches commit to giving our athletes the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.  They continue to motivate and support our youth in building character strengths, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices, and the pursuit of higher education and goals.

All head and assistant coaches are required to obtain and uphold current USA Heads Up Football coaching and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.  To further ensure player safety for our athletes, highly trained staff will be present at all home games to assist in any medical emergencies.  Staff include an athletic trainer employed by UW Health and contracted by Madison West High School, as well as a Player Safety Coach (PSC) who will serve as a licensed professional rescuer and healthcare provider.  As declared by USA Heads Up Football, the PSC is responsible for ensuring their organizations’ compliance with core Heads Up Football® health and safety protocols, including coaching certification and conducting safety clinics for coaches, parents and players.

For those interested in volunteering as a coach for the West Regents Youth Tackle Football League, please contact Karly Frey at [email protected].
