Competitive Play with AYSO Philosophy

  AYSO Area Challenge Guidelines

Highlights of CHALLENGE FC:

• Per Player Fee averages around $600 for the year (September to May).
• Our players play on average at least 50 percent of each game!
• Play in AYSA’s Port of Subs Open League and Arizona Premier League against top club teams.
• Our club currently has 70+ teams and is the one of the largest clubs in the state of Arizona. Our coaches have advanced national coaching licenses and are involved in continuing education every year.
• Our coaches are VOLUNTEERS. They are here for the kids, and are not motivated by training fees.
• Our rosters are limited in size to ensure quality playing time and NOT bench time!

 U18G (Birth year 2000) – Coach Kyle Tilghman

Tryouts – May 2, 2017 and May 4, 2017

• Tryouts will be held at Red Mountain Soccer Complex.
• Times and fields are as follows:
  • U12B – 6:00PM to 7:30PM – Field 6N      U11G – 6:00PM to 7:30PM – Field 6S
  • U16B – 8:00PM to 9:30PM – Field 6        U14G – 6:00PM to 7:30PM – Field 5                                                                                U18G – 8:00PM to 9:30PM – Field 5
• Check in at the respective coach’s table at the field at least 15 minutes prior to tryouts
• Bring soccer shoes, shin guards, ball, and plenty of water
  
  

Tryouts are open to all players, including non-AYSO players.

1. The team that your child can try out for the upcoming 2017-2018 club season is based on the player’s birth year.
2. In addition, players may try out for any team that is an age group older than their current age.  For instance, a U16 team may include players born after 2002 if player’s ability and skill are a match for the coach and team.
3. All interested players MUST attend one night of the tryouts to be considered a candidate for the team.  
4. Complete Tryout Form at azchallengefc.org/TryoutForm (forms will be available at the fields as well)
