At AYSO 1079, we are committed to serving our community.

Individuals who would not experience success on a regular soccer team are invited
to join our VIP program for players with special needs. Our team is comprised of individuals age 5 to adult. We offer an alternative soccer experience aimed at having fun and making friends. Our schedule consists of 5 or so games scheduled during the fall season and a VIP tournament scheduled in early December. Each hour long session is filled with a variety of activities for players to choose from followed by a short modified game played with and against regular selected AYSO 1079 teams.

Our program is directed by Emlyn Lydford (Ms. Emy) who is a Special Education Teacher within the Mesa Unified School District. Emlyn has her Masters in Rehabilitation Administration and has over 20 years experience serving individuals with mental, physical, and emotional challenges.
