HEROES VOLLEYBALL

About Us

Welcome!  The history of Heroes Volleyball dates back to it's origin as Killeen Juniors Volleyball Club (KJVC), founded by Coach William DeGracia in 2008.  He started with one team, but through his talents, vision and love of volleyball, KJVC grew to 10 teams in a few short years.  In order to expose our players to higher level volleyball, not only in Central Texas, but across the country, KJVC merged with Belton Christian Youth Center in 2014 and renamed to Belton Elite, expanding in numbers of coaches and players yet again.

At the end of the 2014 season, we saw and wanted more for our athletes...not only to reach great heights as volleyball players but to give back to our community. We are uniquely blessed to have the Ft. Hood military installation in our area and to have many military families and Veterans involved in our organization.  They are our Heroes.  But it doesn't stop there.  There are Heroes in our local Police and Fire Departments, schools and in our homes.  It is because of these Heroes and their daily sacrifices, that we renamed ourselves "HEROES Volleyball Club" to honor them.

At HEROES we pride ourselves on our ability to develop athletes at every level through our clinics and camps. Since the beginning, our goal has been to provide outstanding services for athletes and their families in our surrounding communities. This service was and is to help teach young women about volleyball, and to apply the lessons they learn to become the best players possible and the best individuals they can be. The philosophy of our club has remained the same throughout the years. We strive for excellence in instruction and development of each player as an individual and a valued member of a team. This concept takes everyone from our coaches, support staff, players and parents to work together to achieve our goals. In the development of a team, each player is asked to commit their time, energy and effort to help the team succeed. It is the player's opportunity to learn and improve by attending practices, working hard, and excelling in the role that is asked of them.

Thank you for taking time out to learn a little more about us at HEROES!

Practices will be held mainly at Belton Christian Youth Center and Ellison High School. In the past we have also used other KISD facilities and BISD facilities if needed.

Each team will have  8 - 10 tournaments and depending on the level of the team we might add other qualifiers or out of State tournaments to the schedule with a fee adjustment. Initially all the teams are treated equal, we don't label our teams National, Premium, etc. If we have more than one team for that age group, then the team will be label 1 or 2. During tryouts we do pick players for the top team and then if we have enough players for a 2nd competitive team then a 2nd team is formed.

This year we're adding video analysis training to our practices and more clinics to help our athletes and our coaches improve. This is at no extra cost to the athlete.

We're excited about this season, our program has developed the best young players in our district who have been successful in playing at the next level.
