Minors

A-Minors/Rookie:  This division is for ages 9-10yr olds. A-Minors division is designed to help create a more competive league.   A-Minors division is played on 60ft bases and pitching mounds are set at 46ft. Players will pitch themseleves and follow the Cal Ripken Pitch Smart Rules.

This year we have created a new division for those 8-9 year olds that still need time to develop and bridge the gap from Coach Pitch.  It is call Rookie Ball, and is designed for 8-9 year olds.  All players will need to go through tryouts/assessment to evaluate the players skill level.  Players must be 8 by 4/30 of the current year.

If you have a 9yr old this year you will play A-Minors division or Rookie Ball.  All Players will need to go through tryouts/assessment to evaluate the players skill level. Pitching is faster, hitting is a little stronger, and game play is at a faster pace.  As a parent if you feel that your player is not quite ready mentally or physically than we recommend keeping them in the Rookies division.  If the league feels that any 9yr old that goes through the tryouts and is not quite ready they will be asked to play in the Rookies Divison.

A-Minors/Rookie  season runs Beginning of March through End of May.  Practices are usually 3-5 times a week until games start then is reduced to 2-3 times a week.  Practice days and times will be solely up to the coaches.  Minors/Rookie games can be played Monday, Wednesday, and maybe on Saturday depending on how many teams are in the division.

All Players will need to attend the Tryouts/Draft day, March 10th @ TIME TBD at Memorial Park.  All players are placed on a team, the draft is designed to evaluate players and keep parity through out the division.  If a player can not attend Draft day then they will be placed on a team at the boards discretion.

Equipment Needed - Players will receive a shirt and hat and will need to provide their own a baseball mitt, cleats (no metal) and baseball pants, boys will also be required to where a cup.

Coaches begin calling players the week following the draft.  If you do not receive a call by the coach a week after the draft then please email [email protected]

Immediate family members (brothers, sisters) will be placed on the same team unless otherwise requested.

If you have any questions regarding tryouts, not sure what division to sign up for, etc. please email the league at  [email protected]  and someone will get back to you.
