CLCF Track and Field is a non profit program that allows youths of ages 5-14 from RI to participate in a healthy life style. The athletes are introduced and able to compete in a relaxed environment that encourages dedication as equally as it does good sportsmanship. Runners are encourage to try various events, to go "outside their comfort zone", and challenge themselves.
CLCF Track and Field offers long distance and sprint training as well as field work. Field events include long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and mini javelin. It is a great way for children to socialize, be healthy, and learn about competition in a safe environment.
CLCF offers free inter squad meets to all registered CLCF athletes. Runners can participate in sprints, long distance, hurdles, jumping and throwing events. All events are timed and measured and ribbons are given out to the top 8 finishers in each event. 

The season runs from April until June. Practices are on Wednesdays and Thursdays nights for rec league and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for the race team. The meets are on Saturday morning the last three weeks of May and the first two weeks of June from 8:30 until 11:30 am.

Indoor Track 19-20

The CLCF indoor track program runs from December 3, 2019 and ends March 20, 2020.  Practices will be held 3 times a week, at an indoor facility where the runners will work on their speed, endurance, and strengthening their bodies. Practice days are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 100 Factory St, West Warwick at the Civic Center (located next to the West Warwick hockey rink). For specific times and dates, please go to's home page. Indoor track offers training to those who want to do sprints, long distance, and  jumping and throwing events.
CLCF track has a competitive team that participates in meets throughout New England. If at some point in the season, your child wishes to compete, they are welcomed, even though they not part of the racing team. 
It is a coed program for ages 5-14 years old.
The cost is $110, which go towards the rental fees of the West Warwick Civic Center.
Please be sure to fill out the registration form completely and be accurate about your child's shirt size.

Panthers Indoor Track-Competitive

The CLCF Panthers track racing team practices 3 days a week at the West Warwick Civic Center. The goal of the racing team is to help prepare all athletes for the upcoming racing season of indoor track.It is the athletes responsibility to attend practice in preparation for the upcoming meets. Practice begins on December 3, 2019, with practice days being Saturday mornings and Tuesdays and Thursday evenings. 
Athletes must attend practice and compete in at least 4 mandatory meets with the option of competing in the USATF/Hershey National Meet at the end of the season.
The racing team offers training in all aspects of youth track and field-distance, sprints, throws, jumps, multi events, etc.  
Athletes will be provided with a practice shirt and singlet (racing top), but will be responsible for purchasing a pair of running or compression shorts, running sneakers and possibly racing flats or spikes. 
The registration fees include the singlet and shirt, the rental of the West Warwick Civic Center and admission to 2 meets (CT Hawks Youth Meet Invitational, and Needham Indoor Classic).
