CLCF Track and Field is a non profit program that allows youths of ages 5-14 from RI to participate in a healthy life style. The athletes are introduced and able to compete in a relaxed environment that encourages dedication as equally as it does good sportsmanship. Runners are encourage to try various events, to go "outside their comfort zone", and challenge themselves.
CLCF Track and Field offers long distance and sprint training as well as field work. Field events include long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and mini javelin. It is a great way for children to socialize, be healthy, and learn about competition in a safe environment.
CLCF offers free inter squad meets to all registered CLCF athletes. Runners can participate in sprints, long distance, hurdles, jumping and throwing events. All events are timed and measured and ribbons are given out to the top 8 finishers in each event.

The season runs from April until June. Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays nights from 6-7 pm. The meets are on Saturday morning the last three weeks of May and the first two weeks of June from 8:30 until 11:30 am.

The complete 2017 schedule is available at under the schedule tab.

Indoor Track 2018-19

The CLCF indoor track program runs from December 1, 2018 and ends in the first week of March, 2017.  Practices will be held 3 times a week, at an indoor facility where the runners will work on their speed, endurance, and strengthening their bodies. Practice days are Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 100 Factory St, West Warwick at the Civic Center (located next to the West Warwick hockey rink). For specific times and dates, please go to's home page. Indoor track offers training to those who want to do sprints, long distance, and  jumping and throwing events.
CLCF track participates in several organized meets, which will allow the runners to show off what they have learned and their skill set. These meets are primarily held in Massachusetts, (Wheaton College and the Reggie Lewis Center) about an hour away. Everyone is encouraged to participate in them but it is not mandatory to do so to be part of the indoor program.
There is an opportunity for select individuals to participate in the USATF/Hershey Indoor Championships. This requires a USATF membership and will most likely require an overnight stay out of state.
It is a coed program for ages 5-14 years old. There are a limited amount of roster spots for this program.
The cost is $75, which go towards the rental fees of the West Warwick Civic Center.
Please be sure to fill out the registration form completely and be accurate about your child's shirt size.
