HLL Basketball Mourns the Passing of Jack DeStefano

Hamilton Little Lads Basketball mourns the passing of Jack DeStefano. Jack was a founding member of Little Lads Basketball 51 years ago, and a league director and president for 40 years. This picture was from his last game as president five years ago.

Jack may not have been involved for the past few years, but his legacy at HLL Basketball has carried on (and will continue to do so) through his sons, grandsons, and great grandsons. He was able to make it to a game this past March to see his great grandson play. In that same game, Jack’s son and grandson were coaching and another grandson was officiating. Four generations of DeStefanos representing HLL Basketball.

We send our sincerest condolences to the entire DeStefano family. While the loss stings, we will always celebrate a great life that contributed so much to youth sports in Hamilton. Rest easy, Jack.
