On behalf of ST. MARY’S LITTLE LEAGUE (SMLL), we would like to invite you to become a sponsor for our 2022 season. SMLL is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to giving St. Mary’s county youth the opportunity to develop the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect through playing baseball and softball. Local sponsorship is the very backbone of many Little Leagues, helping to keep the costs to parents down. The unselfish sponsorship of teams by local businesses has been a part of Little League since its very founding in 1939.

Each year, the league provides baseball and softball tournament and instructional play opportunities for over 1,600 youth boys and girls ages 4 to 16. This coming year alone, we will have hundreds of coaches and volunteers working with over 130 teams. Our program is 100% volunteer run, including the board of directors, coaching staff, and everyone that spends time contributing to the program. As you can imagine, operating such a program takes a lot of volunteers, time, and money.

None of this would be possible without the support of our community. We are proud of what we have accomplished, but we need your help to continue our legacy of serving our local youth. In order to keep registration fees affordable for all, we rely heavily on sponsorship money to help with uniform expenses, replacement of aging equipment, maintenance of our fields, and the payment of other direct league expenses.

Sponsorship offers many benefits to participants: advertising exposure, tax deductible business and/or personal expenses, and the satisfaction and goodwill that comes from helping the local community and St. Mary’s youth. The league offers multiple sponsorship levels that provide opportunities for your organization’s name or other general information to be displayed on our website, publicized at special events, and imprinted on teams’ jerseys. We also host district and state Little League tournaments that allow for your advertising dollar to reach people outside of our local community. Anyone can be a sponsor, from a large company to an individual! With so many different sponsorship types, the league provides maximum flexibility, and we welcome any other creative ideas that you might have.
