Welcome to AYSO Region 73
Region 73 is in its forth decade of service with approximately 1,800 children participating in the soccer program at the State Farm Sports Village
We can currently configure up to 18 fields of various sizes to accomodate the various age groups of U5 through U19 players.
Introduction to the American Youth Soccer Organization
The American Youth Soccer Organization, or AYSO was founded in the Los Angeles area in 1964. Since that time the non-profit organization has become of the the country's most sucessful youth programs, with regions in all fifty states. AYSO's success is bases on its philosophies of "Everyone Plays", "Balanced Teams", "Open Registration", "Positive Coaching", "Good Sportsmanship" and "Player Development".
Region 73 is one of the ten regions in Kern County, known as Area A.
There are ten areas in our Section, known as Section 10. The section includes Palmdale/Lancaster, Kern County, Paso Robles, and the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. There are thirteen sections in the United States, and one in Russia. We are identified as 10-A-73. Our National Support Center is in Hawthorne, California and can be reached by calling 1-800-USA-AYSO (1-800-872-2976) or found at the AYSO National website.
