BAYAA Flag Football:
Young football players are introduced to the fundamentals of the game and can hone their skills during the offseason in our Spring 5v5 Flag Football leagues. Players are led by volunteers in drills and games that teach the basic offensive and defensive skills and positions of football. Based in the Lake Norman area, teams will play against other teams in Iredell County.
Brawley Area Youth Athletic Assoc. believes that character development is an essential element of sports. Caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith are valued on and off the field. We put safety first and emphasize positive competition. Brawley Athletics are for all and played for fun with a great competitive balance.
Family involvement is encouraged. Parents become part of the Brawley Area Athletic family and enjoy supporting their children together at practices and games. Parents and friends can also be helpful as volunteer coaches, officials and timekeepers. Learn more about volunteering here!
Registration Details:
Fall Registration is open May 1st through June 30th (registration after 6/15 is subject to a late fee)!
Fall 2024 Divisions:
7U (Must be 5yo and 7yo or younger by Aug 1st, 2024)
9U (Must be 9yo or younger by Aug 1st, 2024)
All Girls - 9U (Must be 9yo or younger by Aug 1st, 2024)
All Girls - 12U (Must be 12yo or younger by Aug 1st, 2024)
Our Fall season typically runs from August through October depending on playoffs (GMYAA Championships). Practices are typically held 1-2 times per week and will vary based on coaches decision/availability. Games are played on Saturdays with locations changing based on the host program (LNHS, MHS, SIHS, etc.).
Spring 2024 Divisions:
7U (Must be 5yo by Aug 1st, 2023 and 7yo or younger on March 1st, 2024)
9U (Must be 9yo or younger by Mar 1st, 2024)
11U - All Girls Division = Ages 6yo through 11yo; separate age-based divisions may be enabled if enough are signed up across the conference.
Middle School (6th - 8th) - All Girls Division = For middle schoolers; this division is based on grade.

Practice locations will be Lake Norman Elementary, The Brawley School (IB), or at the Trump Green in the Point. Games are played on Sundays with locations changing based on the host program (LNHS, MHS, SIHS, etc.).
