About Us

Located in Mooresville, NC, BAYAA (Brawley Area Youth Athletic Association), is a Community driven Charitable Non-profit recreation organization focused within the Iredell Statesville Schools.  BAYAA is the Youth Recreation League for Lake Norman Schools and surrounding Private and/or Charter Schools.  BAYAA was created to assist and get involved in the community with multiple community service projects, develop the athletes of our community and assist those under privileged, less fortunate.

Our goal is to allow all athletes to be able to participate and grow into responsible adults that continue to give back to the community.  The three areas of influence that guide BAYAA as we continue to serve our community are: Children of the Community, Community Service and Honor the game of recreation Sports. All three of these are very important to the members of BAYAA and with out one, we lose a little piece from the other.

We want to offer the most exciting, entertaining experience that we can dream up for our Athletes. Create the best atmosphere to teach our athletes the important life lessons of success and defeat.  This is our foundation for success, as we experience failures and successful endeavors. We will continue to learn, develop and offer more and more opportunities to support the community through giving of funds, community service projects and supporting the development of our young athletes to help bring Championship Play to our surrounding High Schools.

BAYAA is a charter member of the Greater Metro Youth Athletic Association (founded in 2023).  GMYAA is the governing body for the sports programs that are offered by BAYAA.  Learn more about this community-based member organization here.
