Wee Kicks Program Description

This program was created at the repeated requests of the parents of our youngest players! We could have called this program ‘Herding Cats’, and although it looks like that sometimes, it’s a lot more fun and rewarding!

Wee Kicks is a program we have developed for our U3 players who just can’t wait any longer to get out there and play soccer! We have a great staff of young professional coaches, and this is one of the most challenging AND rewarding coaching roles they will ever have! For many coaches, this is the first ‘professional’ coaching opportunity on their CV, and it really is a conversation starter in interviews for the rest of their careers!

The program is strategically designed to be 50 minutes - the players drop like flies after that time, as predicted by the early childhood development specialists we consulted when designing the programs. We focus on movement, fun, and introducing the preliminary concepts of games and teams. Players should be excited to attend each session, and have FUN with their FRIENDS!

This spring, the program has 2 sessions on Friday afternoon, and we introduced our new mascot! Cost for this program is $__/semester. Parents are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and be ready to get out on the field if their player needs them to boost their confidence. It’s fun to watch that confidence and independence grow during the semester, and it’s slightly traumatic to parents when their player tells them to stay on the sidelines this week! (we have tissues available!)
