2025-26 BASKETBALL EVENT SCHEDULE
Registration will close Sunday, November 9, 2025
Coaches meeting will take place Tuesday, November 11, 2025
Practices start the week of November 17, 2025
Game Season will begin January 10, 2026
Final week of games will be March 7, 2026
Tournament week will be March 9-13, 2026
Games will be played on Saturdays. Games will take place at various gyms within the Mt Vernon School Corporation. Locations per age group are TBD until the schedule is determined.
Tournament games will be played every night the week of March 9. Tournament Championship games will take place on Friday, March 13!

- $110 for Pre-K&K
- $125 for 1st/2nd Grade
- $135 3rd Grade-High School
Multiple child discounts will be available. Registration ends Sunday, November 9, at 11:59 p.m.
GRADE DIVISIONS
Co-ed Pre-K&K (instructional / coach-officiated / side courts / 27.5" ball / 7 1/2' rim)
Co-ed 1st - 2nd (instructional / referee-officiated / side courts / 27.5" ball / 8' rim)
Co-ed 3rd - 4th (coached / referee-officiated / 27.5" ball / 9' rim)
Co-ed 5th - 6th (coached / referee-officiated / 28.5" ball / 10' rim)
Middle School/High School (coached/referee-officiated / 28.5" ball/ 10' rim)
COACHES MEETING/TEAM SELECTION
Coaches meeting will take place on November 11 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at McCordsville United Methodist Church in McCordsville. Please note, this meeting is for coaches and assistant coaches only, NO CHILDREN.
BASKETBALL OPERATIONS VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for volunteers to assist as coaches, referees, coordinators to set up gyms, etc. Please contact Brad Schoeff at [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering to help. If you want to coach or be an assistant coach, just fill out the volunteer request when you register your child. Anyone wishing to coach who has not completed a background check in the last 6 months will be required to complete one prior to coaching.
PRACTICES
Practices will start the week of November 17.
No practices will take place during winter break.
All practices will take place at Mt Comfort Elementary.

VOLUNTEER CLUB MEMBERS
Each Club Member can receive a youth sports registration coupon per membership in trade, that can be applied on-line. We need active adult club members to help as gym / site monitors, light prep & cleanup, and we may have limited concession sales this season (pending approvals). If you are interested to volunteer and be a member, first register for the 2025-2026 Optimist International FULL membership program before you register your child in a sport (as the coupon must be issued by us then applied to a new, not already entered order). To register as a MV Optimist Club Member, you will need to fill out an application that we will provide to you. If interested, please email [email protected] and we will send you an application. When registering for a sport as a club OI member, specify your are an active volunteer AND select a volunteer role. Not indicating volunteer & role can result in no coupon being issued.
