AN ELITE COMMUNITY SOCCER EXPERIENCE

Information

If multiple divisions are available for my child, what division should I register them for?

For the Fall season you will register them for the grade they will be entering into that fall.

For the Spring season you should register them for their CURRENT grade. Do not register them for the grade they will be in, in the future. If they are not in grade-school yet, you should register them for the TOT's program.

How will teams be formed?

Teams are formed based on grade level. We try our best to put everyone with their classmates and friends but this is not a guarantee. There are no tryouts for the Recreation Program. Every effort will be made to honor friend requests.

Will Junior Academy players and Rec League players be on the same team?

No they will not. Rec League players will have their own team and coach while Junior Academy players will have their own pool trainings and game day rosters.

Should I register my child for both the Rec Soccer League and Junior Academy?

NO - while Junior Academy is in conjunction with the Rec League, it is a separate program. Please register for one or the other. Make sure you visit our information pages regarding both programs before registering.

Will Junior Academy have multiple teams or one team?

Our Junior Academy program will be pool training with professional coaches once a week within their age group and gender. The Rec Director will then form the teams to compete on the weekends. These teams may be subject to change in the light of absences or player development.

What is the Game Format for LSC's Recreational League?

The Recreation Program follows the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) guidelines for the game format and playing time (equal playing time).

  • (4v4) with 2x20 mins halves and five-minute halftime for the Kindergarten groups
  • (4v4) with 2x20 mins halves and five-minute halftime for the 1st and 2nd-grade groups
  • (7v7 with GK’s) with 2x25 mins halves and five-minute halftime for the 3rd and 4th-grade groups
  • (9v9 with GK’s) depending on total numbers 2x30 mins halves and five-minute halftime for the 5th and 6th-grade groups

What does is mean to be a Volunteer Coach?

Volunteer coaches are key to the success of the program. We need volunteers! Volunteer coaches will be expected to coach the team practice once a week within their availability. They will also be expected to coach their team's games on the weekends as well.

Without adequate volunteers, rosters will be limited, and children may be turned away. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate when you register your child. A preseason coaching clinic is offered to all volunteer coaches as well as a coaching guide to help coaches create a fun environment where kids can improve their skills.

Who are the Soccer TOT's coaches?

Coaches will include LSC travel coaches, Lakeville High School students/coaching staff and other interested coaches. Coaches will follow the US Youth Soccer Guidelines in order to provide age-appropriate activities.
