Rochester Youth Soccer Association (RYSA)

ABOUT_
Rochester Youth Soccer Association (RYSA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization staffed solely by parent volunteers that provides opportunities for children and young adults between the ages of 3 and 18.  We are committed to supporting the physical, mental, and emotional growth of youth in the Greater Rochester area by providing local quality soccer programs and developing excellent coaches.

We’re currently offering sponsorship opportunities to local businesses, families, and individuals for the 2020 Spring, Summer, & Fall soccer season.  Throughout the soccer year, we provide hundreds of children and their families a safe and professional home to enjoy soccer.

For those interested in sponsoring our RYSA program in 2020, please contact us at: [email protected].

Thank you for your support.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
RYSA Board of Directors

Message to Parents!_

Attention to all the RYSA Rec soccer players and parents,

We need your help! RYSA Recreation Soccer is a great way to get involved with the community and the organization. Soccer starts at the Recreation program and can grow into a lifelong and rewarding sport offering great exercise and new friends and the value of teamwork.

Our program is well established with proven lesson plans and scheduling.  We need a person or ideally 2 people who are organized, focused and willing to commit to our summer recreational program as Summer Program Coordinators. This position requires a fair amount of prep work to group players and parents but after a couple of weeks on the grass, it tends to run itself.

We also need parents to commit to coaching for their child's age group. While knowledge of soccer is helpful, it is NOT necessary.  You do not need to be a pro.  You do not need to be a player.  We are teaching basic skills, drills and rules while creating a positive environment in which every child gets an opportunity for numerous touches on the ball.  You do need to be engaged with a positive personality.

Our current Board of Directors and Travel team coaches are here to help and assist. On a similar note, we are looking to add representation from our Recreation parents onto the RYSA Board of Directors.  We are a volunteer group of 7 people who enjoy bringing soccer to Rochester.  Our kids started in Rec and play on travel with a couple Board members with kids in high school.  Eventually, they will age out of the programs and we need to pass the organization on and need more engagement from younger families.
