How to Register as a Manager or Coach
📌
MAJOR & AAA MANAGERS: Application Required Before Registration

If you are interested in managing a Major Division or Minor AAA team, you must first notify the League President of your intent in writing (email or written correspondence) by the board-set deadline. Interviews will be scheduled and Board approval is required before you can manage at these levels. Contact [email protected] to express your interest.

1
Log In or Create Your Account

Visit the UFLL registration portal and log in to your existing account, or create a new one if you haven't already. Your account should be in your name as the parent or guardian.

2
Register Your Child for the Season

Complete your child's player registration first. You will be prompted to add volunteer roles during the checkout process — this is where you'll register as a manager or coach.

3
Add Your Volunteer Role During Checkout

When prompted during registration, select Manager or Assistant Coach as your volunteer role. Only two coaches are permitted in the dugout in addition to the manager — be sure to select the correct role for your intended position.

Only 2 coaches + 1 manager permitted per dugout
4
Complete Your Background Check

All managers and coaches are required to complete an annual background check through Little League's official provider, JDP (J.D. Palatine). You will receive instructions via email following your registration. Your background check must be cleared before you may coach or manage. Starting in 2025, only JDP background checks are accepted.

Game Day Field Responsibilities
Pre-Game, Post-Game & Shared Field Duties

Managers are responsible for ensuring their team fulfills all game day field duties — including dragging and striping the dirt, setting up equipment, dugout cleanup, trash removal, and (for the last game of the day) waiting for snack bar staff before leaving. Visiting teams are responsible for post-game field drag and hole fill-in. Both teams must clean their dugout and spectator area after every game.
