UPLAND FOOTHILL LITTLE LEAGUE CODE OF CONDUCT
The Upland Foothill Little League Constitution Article II, states, the objective of the Local League shall be to implant firmly in the youth of the community the ideals of fair play, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may become stronger and happier and will grow to be decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.
In order to enable our Little League to achieve these goals, managers, coaches, players, and parents are expected to lead by example and share a great deal of the responsibility by demonstrating their behavior, sportsmanship, and fair play, in a positive manner. Therefore, the Board of Directors of Upland Foothill Little League has mandated the following Code of Conduct. All board members, managers, coaches, parents/guardians, and players agree to comply with the Code of Conduct listed below by virtue of participating in Upland Foothill Little League. Any spectator invited as a guest to watch a Little League game or practice will also be expected to adhere to these guidelines.
Code of Conduct:
NO Board Member, Manager, Coach, Player, Parent/Guardian, or Spectator shall:
Challenge an umpire’s authority. The umpires shall have the authority and discretion during a game to penalize the offender with consequences up to and including removal from the game.
At any time, lay a hand upon, shove, strike, or threaten a player, umpire, coach, or board member.
Insult or abuse—either verbally, physically, or in writing— any official, board member, manager, coach, player, or spectator. This includes communicating in a disrespectful manner to any of the aforementioned.
Exhibit an objectionable demonstration of dissent at an official’s decision with any unsportsmanlike behavior including but not limited to throwing gloves, helmets, hats, bats, or balls.
Use unnecessarily rough tactics in the play of a game against an opposing player.
Use profane, obscene, or vulgar language or gestures in any manner at any time.

Discuss publicly during a game, any play, decision, or a personal opinion of a player in a derogatory or abusive manner.
Tamper or manipulate any league rosters, schedules, official score books, rankings, financial records or procedures, draft positions, or draft selections.
Anyone who is involved in a verbal or physical altercation, an incident of unsportsmanlike conduct, or other code of conduct violation at the game site or any other Little League activity, including through online or social media, is subject to potential disciplinary action by the Board of Directors.
The first infractions of the Upland Foothill Little League Code of Conduct by an individual will be referred to the League Representative. All subsequent infractions of the Code by that individual will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the Upland Foothill Little League Board of Directors. The Committee will discuss the offense and draft a recommendation to the Board, as to any disciplinary action to be imposed on the offender, up to and including expulsion from the league. The Board of Directors will receive and discuss the Disciplinary Committee’s recommendation and have final authority on what, if any, disciplinary action is to be imposed.
