Your banged-up ankle or long school / work hours may preclude your participation in a sporting league, but you can keep your hand in the game by becoming an official. There are opportunities year-round at the recreational level. If you know the basics because you played the game, you're already qualified.
Share your knowledge of the sport and inspire the younger kids - earn their admiration... and some pocket money (there is a per-game stipend).
