The Thomas Jefferson Youth Football Program was established to provide the youth of the area with a positive and safe football experience.  The hope is for young athletes to gain experience in individual skills, physical fitness, competitive spirit, and the ability to contribute as a part of a team sport.  It is important that parents demonstrate good relations with their child, coach, and organization.

If you are interested in having your child learn the fundamentals of football in a safe, fun and educational environment be sure to sign up today! The league is open to the West Jefferson Hills School District kids grades K – 6.

Divisions:
· Division I – 5th & 6th grade division. Any child who turns 13 prior to July 1st of the current year will be ineligible to play in the WGYFL.
· Division II – 3rd & 4th grade division. Any child who turns 11 prior to July 1st of the current season must move up to Division I.
· Division III – K – 2nd grade division. Any child who turns 9 prior to July 1st of the current season must move up to Division II.

There is no minimum age requirement to play in Division III; however, we strongly recommend that the child is at least 6yrs old.

Birth Certificates

If you are new to TJYFB or did not submit a birth certificate last year you will need to do so this year.  During the registration process you will be prompted to upload a scanned copy of your birth certificate.  If you do not have a scanned electronic copy available you can bring a scanned copy to the first week of practice.

Proof of Enrollment/Student at West Jefferson Hills School District

The Washington Greene Youth Football League (WGYFL) has implemented a new rule stating you must provide proof of school / grade your child attends.  This can be done either by a current copy of a report card, a screenshot copy from your PowerSchool Account and/or a written and signed letter from your school’s principal (on school letterhead).  If your child lives in the district, but attends a private school or is home schooled you must provide proof of residence as well as the private school attended.

Registration Costs:

Football Registration 1

$200.00*

Sewn-on High Profile Custom Jersey with Last Name  2

$85.00

1  Registration is $200 per player and an additional family member is $100.  i.e. If you have two kids playing football, the total cost of registration would be $300 ($100 Family Savings).

2  You will only have to purchase a jersey once to use as long as your child’s size permits.  If you do not purchase a custom jersey, you will be able to borrow a jersey for $50 (non-refundable).

Football Registrations include the use of the High School Football Field & amenities on game days and camps, paramedics during home games, police during home games, league insurance and use of practice field & amenities.  Registration costs do not include helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, cleats and mouth-guard.  The league will set up dates with on-site recommended vendors to purchase equipment at a discounted price.  There will also be a ‘Discount Day’ at Dick’s Sporting Goods to purchase any items for a 20% discount.

WGYFL Fundraising fees are required to participate in the Washington Greene Youth Football League (WGYFL).  All organizations will participate in an annual lotto ticket fundraiser and be financially responsible for their total allotment of lottery tickets (the allotment of tickets will be divided equally among all organizations.) Any organization(s) who fails to submit a check to the WGYFL equal to their total allotment of lottery tickets will have the corresponding difference withheld from their annual revenue sharing check.  This fundraiser provides the TJ Youth Football League with yearly league fees, league insurance and league revenue sharing.

TJYFB Fundraising fees come from a number of fundraising events that will take place throughout the year (not just during the football season) to help offset the costs to operate the TJ Youth Football Program. Football participants will have multiple options to meet the fundraising goals.

Payment Methods

TJ Youth Football accepts two payment methods:  Cash or Check.  We will NOT be offering online signups this year, but all registration will be in-person.
