Our current and future success depends entirely on your help and support. Any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated, and we think you will find your experience as a volunteer in our league to be an educational, gratifying, and enjoyable one. The only requirement that you need to be a volunteer is that you enjoy seeing kids have fun.
There are always too many jobs to fill and not enough people to fill them. Coaches, referees, linesmen, team moms, board members…the opportunities to help out are countless.
All Volunteers must:
- Submit a Volunteer Application. (Ask your division coordinator for one.)
- Take the online Safe Haven Course
The first step to getting the online training is to look up your AYSO ID number. (you must have already submitted a volunteer form in order to get your AYSO ID.)
To get your AYSO ID number, go to eAYSO and log in. If you have trouble getting your AYSO ID off of eAYSO, contact the CVPA for help.
Once you have your AYSO ID number, go to AYSO Online Certification and Training, and take the appropriate Safe Haven course.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of our AYSO region. It is responsible for management and operations of the region and for training of all regional level volunteers. The lead manager is the Regional Commissioner. This position is directly supported by several other board positions, including, but not limited to: Assistant Regional Commissioner, Safety Director, Coach Administrator, Referee Administrator, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, and Age-Division Coordinators.
We have several open positions and always welcome new members. Please contact any board member to volunteer.
Board meetings are held approximately once a month. The dates of each meeting can be found in the calendar page. All “participating members”, (persons serving the Region in a coaching, refereeing, or administrative capacity) are welcome to attend. If you would like to discuss a particular topic please notify the RC or Secretary at least 2 weeks before the meeting. Time is limited for these meetings and discussion topics will be chosen as to their relevance.
Currently our Region is operated using AYSO’s “Standard Regional Guidelines”.These guidelines may be amended by the Regional Board and approved by the Section and AYSO National.
President's Volunteer Service Award
As a way to thank and honor our volunteers, Southernmost Soccer Association is a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award program. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a national honor that recognizes those who make service a central part of their lives. AYSO volunteer hours also help fulfill Key West High School students' required volunteer service commitment.
Volunteers are encouraged to participate in this program by registering and tracking their hours on-line: Track Your Service Record
