U10 Field Set-up Instructions:
Please arrive for set-up at least 45 minutes in advance of your game.
The storage closet by the concession stand will be open by 7:00am every Saturday. There you will find paint liners with green paint, corner flags and a plastic bin labeled "U10" and either field 3A or 3B. The bin contains 2 nets, 6 stakes, 15 bungee straps and a mallet. We also place 2 trash cans out on Field 3. Be sure they have a plastic liner in them.
Before putting the goals in place, please line the fields with green paint. Please paint each line twice- once from each direction. This ensures visibility from all angles, and that the lines will still be visible in order to paint them the following week.
The goals are locked to the wall at the south-west corner of Field 3. The combination to the lock is 4184. When installing the nets, be sure they are in the correct position so that the field number signs are on the outside of the net and correctly oriented to read. Also, do not wrap the net around the front of the top or side bars; just install it into the net clips at the rear of those bars. Where the clips are broken, please use the velcro straps attached to the net. Use the bungee straps for the smaller bars that are on the bottom sides and rear of the goals.
Place 3 stakes along the rear bottom crossbar. If you need more velcro straps for the front of the goal, please notify Marc Dart who will have spares to install. Leave the plastic bin behind one of the goals with the mallet in it for tear-down at the end of the day. Install your corner flags and have a great game!
U10 Field Tear-Down Instructions:
Please have everyone search the field for trash and throw it away. We need to leave the fields clean of all items.
The plastic bin for the 2 nets, 6 stakes, 15 bungees and mallet should be located behind one of your goals. Please be sure all items get put back into this bin.
Flip the wheels of the goal down and roll them to the south-west corner block wall of Field 3. (See photos) There you will see a chain padlocked to the cyclone fence on top of this block wall. Please nest the goals, faced toward the wall, with the chain wrapped around the right uprights of the goal. It is important to have them in this position so that they are not sitting on any sprinkler heads in the grass.
Take the corner flags and the bin of nets and supplies to the storage closet located next to the concession stand and place inside.
There are also 2 plastic trash cans on Field 3 that need to be emptied and put away in this closet. Please remove the trash bag, tie the top, and leave the bag by one of the city's permanent trash cans. They will pick it up in the morning. Again, please have everyone scour the fields for trash or any other items left on the field, and be sure they are put away, or thrown away.
